Autumn Term 2011

The children are all happy in School, have settled into the daily routine and are joining with ‘wake and shake’ in the morning.

Here are just a few of the activities that the children are enjoying:-

Literacy. …they are learning their phonemes with ‘Mr Monkey’ (computer programme). Also, the children enjoy listening to a story before home time.

Numeracy …the children have been looking at the numbers 1~10, learning both recognition and formation. The children have enjoyed a selection of games and activities to help support number recognition, formation and counting.

Computers

I.C.T ...the children enjoy using the computer independently, learning mouse control and basic skills.

Art

Creative Development ……this is a very popular area of the Curriculum, giving the children the chance to use their own imaginations.

P.E. …. during these sessions we encourage the children to have a go and to be part of a team. This helps build their self-esteem, confidence and to become more active. The children have been taking turns in a number of circuit activities ~ balancing beams, small hurdles, throwing and catching and climbing on and over various size tables.
