Absence from school
Please notify the school of any absences you might know about in advance, e.g. dental/hospital appointment. If you remove your child from school during the day for any reason, or they arrive late please sign the absence book on the secretary’s desk in the school office.
If your child is absent please either telephone the school on the first day of absence or ask another adult to pass on a message. If your child is absent for 3 days or more we would prefer you to send a letter explaining the reason for the absence.
If you wish to take your child on holiday during term time, please ask for a holiday form, which should be completed and returned to school. You are limited to a period of 10 days each school year. Holidays in term time can disrupt a child's education and, therefore, are not desirable but, if unavoidable, a holiday form can be obtained from the school secretary.
